Vintage sterling POOL of light Japanese exotic necklace
  
The Japanese revered rock crystal was seen as the crystallized breath of the White Dragon (dragons represent powers of creation). The purity of the gem impressed them as unattainable, but desirable perfection.. This late 1800’s genuine pool of light is set in the most exotic leaf bale with beautiful detailing that wraps around this antique stone. I believe the just the wide fancy bale is sterling . The wide antique rollo chain has a scroll work barrel clasp on it. The length is 15 ½” with an additional 1 1/2” for the pendant. The way to tell a real pool of light is to hold it over print and when you look thru it, the print will be upside down. I tried to capture that but it was hard to get the right angle since there was such a large bale. This is OLD and absolutely full of good Karma!. From what I understand this came from Japan and was passed onto family members who eventually sold it off in their estate. What a wonderful old piece!!!!

Ancient Chinese Jade carved Buddha necklace hand knotted
    
This is a very old Jade Buddha that is carved on both sides and he measures a whopping 2 1/2” long ( weighs 66 grams ) . He holds a lotus flower ( there is some indication in Buddhist cosmology that the lotus was the first flower that bloomed in the beginning of this cosmic world).Flowers symbolizing purity, longevity and prosperity of the Buddhist religion. In Buddhist Iconography, the Brahma holds Lotus in hands and is known as Padumapani deity, to symbolize eternity, purity and prosperity of his divine powers. The hand tied knots are frequently used on monk’s garments or drapes in temples signifying good luck. These are elegant knots that are used on this necklace. The length is 22-26” because it has a sliding knot at the top so you can adjust it. This jade buddha is in great condition and the carving is very detailed, even on the back.

WIDE Gold victorian Cameo SLIDE FANCY Bracelet
   
This wide golden mesh bracelet has a black victorian Roman head cameo on sardonyx as the center piece. The bracelet slides thru this cameo setting and it has a wonderful etched end that has a fan like shape at the end to prevent it from ever completely unfastening. The width on this is 1” and the longest it will go to is 8 1/2”. It will go most any length that is shorter than that which makes this fit most wrists. I don’t any gold wear except on the side of the setting for the cameo. The mesh is so well made that is feels like silk on your wrist. I think the mesh is gold filled because I can’t find any hallmarks on it. In very good condition this is a really wonderful piece of history.

1800’s GEORGIAN PERIOD JET Mourning CHOKER HAND WROUGHT THREE ROW
     
WHat a RARE treat this is to own a piece that is almost 200 YEARS OLD. To think it has survived all this times gives me hope this wonderful old treasure will land in a home where it will be lovingly cared for. No machine was used in the making of this and every single faceted jet bead has been soldered to a gilt chain on the back to form this net shaped geometric THREE strand choker. This is 1 1/4” wide and has a slide in bar clasp on the end. The faceted cabachons are 1/2” across and together they form this beautiful mourning necklace. Two cabs are missing near the clasp.

Rare Georgian SPider Filigree JET Mourning Drop NEcklace
 
 
This is such an exquisite and intricate hand wrought metal lace necklace that it is more like a work of art than a piece of jewelry. Notice the faceted black jet beads that inside the fancy filigree drops. There are two smaller drops from the florette in the center as well. The top is some sort of European silver ( the florettes) and each is hand soldered. The larger moth shaped drops are actually arched ( the photos don't show it that well) and they have a lot of dimension which really makes this necklace. The length around the neck is 16" ( an extender could easily be added ) and the drop is 3 1/2" long x 5" wide. Made in tiers this is so fabulous that you can only admire all the work it had to have taken to make this GRAND GEORGIAN necklace. Lots of dark patina on the necklace really shows how old this is. The top florettes test at some degree under sterling, but the bottom is more of a silver gilt . IT is a rare piece indeed and I doubt you ever see another like it.

This dates pre-1900. The underside of the piece is marked with a fleur de lis and Apollo Silver Company - quadruple plate - and 756. VINTAGE AUSTRO HUNGARIAN Jewel Encrusted BRACELET
     
This is one of the most amazing bracelets I have seen in a long time. The pierced gilt metal work on the back gives this bracelet much richness in quality. The etruscan metal work on the front, added with these BRILLIANT raised glass stones ( no dead ones or dark ones) is amazing. The rhinestones are much more like real diamonds than the photos. This is a wide one too ( 1 1/2") and it has hinges on each side. The Jewel encrusted sides and back really make this an outstanding piece. This is in great shape and measures 6" when totally closed but can fit a size 7 because it is made to have a gap on the back like a cuff. Rare 1870 14KT gold taille d epergne hinged tassel PIN
 
This is for a 14kt gold Victorian pendant brooch with taille d’ epergne enamel that is from the 1870’s. You can see a smaller version ( which I also have) of this in the "Collecting Victorian Jewelry " by Jeanenne Bell on page 148 and it has a price of 395.00. This not only has the top round piece but also the three sided drop. This measures 2 1/3" long and 1 ½" wide. It has white enamel fleur de lis on the tops with a black knot over them. The tassel has the most delicate work on it and in in great shape on all sides. It weighs 6 grams. A little of the enamel work is not perfect but considering its age I guess that is to be expected. The back has been professional re-soldered with the original pin. In order to maintain the original piece it does not hinge out as usual but is still perfectly capable of being attached to clothes. This is such a rare piece that I doubt you will see another like it .

RARE ANTIQUE Ming Dynasty AESTHETIC STERLING SPIDER hair ornaments or Place CARD HOLDERS
  
This is for one of two sets of antique sterling spun spider web large place card holders or Chinese hair ornaments from the 17th Century (Ming period or later) that I have and I can guarantee they are very rare indeed. Completely hand wrought with SIX spiders and webs that are very realistic too!. These measure 2 1/2" across and each is a bit individual from each other. In the late 1800's, Darwin's controversial theories on evolution, as well as new botanical discoveries taking place, created popular interest in the natural world. ANTIQUE sterling Etruscan Museum piece belt & Buckle   
This is an antique (not a reproduction) European silver ( 800) tremendous belt and buckle. The metal work on all the pieces is so detailed that is must have taken many months just to make this. It is all hand worked. The belt buckle is 4" long and it looks like it has Georgian diamonds in it. If you look close you can see they are all hand cut and very irregular. They are not rhinestones. The belt has 12 arched thick hinged panels each with an ornate amount of beautiful metal work. This looks like it would have been worn by someone of a higher class. The buckle has some strange animals figures on it and they appear to be in gold. There are hundreds of tiny metal pieces carved out of this to make the raised designs. This is so much nicer than the photos and has a lot of weight to it. The belt is made so it has two hooks on each end where the belt buckle attaches. This is in such great shape too. I only see one of the 14 stones missing. The length of the belt is 27". With the buckle attaches it is 28 ½". The width is 1 1/3" . This is one of a kind and I doubt you ever seen another since this is all hand crafted

FABULOUS Antique STERLING genuine Chrysoprase Bracelet
  
This has genuine Chrysoprase, which is something that is rare in itself , and is set in a bracelet that is over 100 years old. Not to mention this is one of the finest victorian bracelets there is. The crafstmanship on this exquisite with ornate hand wrought scrolled filigree. Each stone is bezel set and has the richest and eeriest soothing color to it. Chrysoprase is one of the most prized varieties of quartz. Higher quality specimens often rival fine jade, for which it is sometimes mistaken. And this is one of the finest qualities, in my opinion. Prussian king, Frederick the Great, adorned his palace with objects and furniture made fully or partly of chrysoprase. His favorite ring was set with a large chrysoprase surrounded by 15 brilliant stones (presumably diamonds). Reportedly, Frederick never took this ring off. He also carried a walking stick with a knob of chrysoprase.
The stone has also been renowned as having unusual powers. In the Middle Ages, it was believed that if you put a piece of chrysoprase in your mouth, you would become invisible, and Romanian folklore claims chrysoprase enabled its owner to understand the language of lizards. Metaphysical characteristics attributed to the gemstone today include soothing heartache and loneliness, and promoting emotional balance. It also is said to relieve gout, eye problems and mental illness This has its original safety chain and it has a good sturdy working slide in clasp. The width is 7/8" x 6" and it is in great condition.

RARE Chinese FIGURAL VINAIGRETTE biZARRE Silver BIG
   
Imagine my amazement to find this secret compartment in this very old silver fish pendant or chatelaine necessary. This fish was so detailed to begin with ( see close-ups) that you can tell where the newer reproductions actually started from. He is one of the early originals and he is 3 ½" long. Under his mouth are these straight designs that are actually the door to this exceptional piece of art. I have never seen so much work in one piece to make it do so much. OF course the fish is designed to bend and move but it is also designed to hold a piece of cotton which would hold a scent or even smelling salts. The latch works great on this and the only thing missing is its original piece of cotton. He is EXTREMELY well made and a really impressive piece too. All his gills are hinged except one in the center bottom and it looks like it was made that way. If you collect perfumes are antique Chinese pieces then this will definitely be one of a kind that no one else has. His eye is real turquoise too and he is marked China on his inner lip. I guaranteed it is OLD.

Stunning Victorian Coral Marcasite BOOKCHAIN BIB necklace
   
Loaded with layers of thick gilt work and accented with antique marcasites this lovely antique choker is even prettier than the photos. The seed pearls bring it into the Edwardian era and with the bookchain, I would say it is a transitional piece from the victorian to Edwardian era. Vintage COBALT PORTRAIT LOcket POURED Czech necklace
  
This is a rarity indeed with the poured Czech glass beads ( no two beads are identical) and this amazing Victorian portrait locket. The cobalt in all the pieces is rich and fit for royalty. The beads are lumpy in shape because each bead is hand done and not cast in a mold where were would be seams. Poured glass is hard to find and when you do it is usually exquisite and rich in color. The beads graduate up to a little over ½" long and between them are floral bead caps. The larger brass filigree beads are gorgeous and they really set off this magnificent cobalt locket. The woman on the front appears to be French and there is black enameling between the ribs of the gilt brass locket. The locket opens on the back and the clasp works well. The necklace is 17" long with an additional 2" for this fancy portrait locket. This is quite a wonderful antique piece and I hope it gets a good home. The beads are in very good condition and the all the gilt brass is rich in patina.

This massive old bracelet has cobalt BLUE glass czech cameos that have figural deer in the center. I have seen these as buttons and earrings but never in a bracelet. They are listed in a few books that have the old czech pieces and the value they put on just the earrings was over $150.00. This bracelet is just the most wonderful piece of jewelry with its heavy silver metal ( not plated) links that are 2" wide. The smaller links have black insets with black jet rhinestones. 1800's Aesthetic Victorian Garden of EDEN Snake Parure
  
For the Goddess in all of us, this antique 1800's gilt brass and glass festoon necklace is something to behold! It has repousse snakes and vines and intaglio glass leaves and is a tremendous work of art as well as jewelry. This is OLD OLD OLD. Even the chain which is etched, is hand soldered. The bib is really long and wide ( 5"' long x 4 1/2" wide) and it is even prettier than the photos. The earrings have gold filled french wires with the grape clusters, the intaglio glass leaf and the snake hanging from them. This is a real book piece and I have never seen another like it. The gilt is rich in deep yellows and there is very little if any verdigras. Quite an impressive parure that measures 15 1/2" long around the neck ( an extender can be added ). Early DECO vintage GOLD TOpaz nice setting RING
 
This is a 1920’s -30’s gold engagement setting with a blue topaz stone in the center. This is hallmarked by a jeweler near where it had been resized to a 6. The setting is a well made one and has decorative work on the sides. This is at least 10kt yellow gold. The stone is a blue topaz and it has really beautiful faceting. IN very good condition too. I am not sure of Carat size but the stone is between 1/4 and 1/3".
