Unusual Jeweled Vinaigrette POMANDER hinged watch fob & Chain

This is similar to the jeweled pomanders you see in the Victorian jewelry books and it is totally functional. The filigree container opens like a fabrege egg and inside is the original cotton that holds the scent. These would have been worn around the neck or on a chatelaine and would have carried smelling salts or a scent. This one has rhinestone jewels and chrysoprase cabs all the way around it. The drop also has a gilt chain fringe drop which makes this a total of 2 1/2” long. The longest thick chain is 10”. If you want to put this to modern day use, it would easily hang from a necklace. This is in such great shape and is a real conversation piece. Inside it is marked Florenza.

Gorgeous czech rhinestone Cut GLASS Perfume Bottle

Antique Vintage black Toilet pins and Advertising CUBE

 The paper label on one side is very clear and it reads: "Small Cube cont'g 100 best steel TOILET PINS Glass heads First quality Made in Germany" There are 3 sides of pins ( one side is missing them and there are a few missing on the other sides. The ones that are in this are glass head pins and are still intact. The pin heads are in two sizes very small and a little bigger. The label also reads “The Neuss Pin Mfg Co. (paper labels on 2 sides)”. THe cube is 1 1/2” across.

2 ART DECO DeVILBISS PERFUME BOTTLE AND ATOMIZER

These are something that will make your vanity look like it came right from a 20’s dressing room! I have never seen one with a cameo top and this one looks like it is some sort of lava cameo. I have the ball that came with this when we purchased it but am not sure how to attach it. I will leave that up to its new owners. This is such an unusual shade of blue, almost a cross between teal and montana blue. Both have their glass daubers too. These are almost the same color ( and given it is such an unusual color) that I think they were probably a set. You don’t see the perfume and the atomizer that often. No nicks or chips. One place where the DeVilbriss sticker was ( we lost in on a move) is on the top of the bottom lip. The glass is almost a mix of opaque and frosted, yet it is very smooth on the outside making me thing the color was done while being fired. On one there is a little difference in color near the bottom,

24kt gold PORTRAIT signed VIntage perfume and puffer

This is a beautiful double sided vintage perfume atomizer by Royal Bavaria Germany. This bottle has two different transfers of Fragonard's courting couple paintings on each side,with 24kt gold leaf gilt decoration on the sides , and a gilt trim along the top. The porcelain atomizer is about 2 1/4" tall and 2 1/2" wide. Marked on the bottom in black with Royal Bavaria Germany. The original sticker from western Germany is also on this. Gentle wear to the shine on the gold brass top. Would surely accent a vanity and make it quite charming!

VIntage Victorian Turquoise Chatelaine PERFUME BrOOCH

Now you can carry on a tradition from the 1800’s that will really add to your wardrobe as well as your jewelry collection. This is a vintage Victorian chatelaine that would have been worn on a dress ( see top photo) and inside would have been its favorite oil or scent. This is one of the prettiest ones I have seen and it has tiny turquoise stones on the top brooch set in a raised relief platform. Enamel is set into the recesses of it to add to create depth. The chains hold this pretty vessel fob and it has a metal dauber inside. The brooch is 3 ½" long and 2" wide and has very little if any wear. This looks like it has a smaller container inside the fob because you can see thru the sides on the bottom. Maybe it was made to act as a vinaigrette? IT is quite lovely and has the fleur de lis on each side of the top.

RARE Chinese FIGURAL VINAIGRETTE biZARRE Silver BIG

Imagine my amazement to find this secret compartment in this very old silver fish pendant or chatelaine necessary. This fish was so detailed to begin with ( see close-ups) that you can tell where the newer reproductions actually started from. He is one of the early originals and he is 3 ½" long. Under his mouth are these straight designs that are actually the door to this exceptional piece of art. I have never seen so much work in one piece to make it do so much. OF course the fish is designed to bend and move but it is also designed to hold a piece of cotton which would hold a scent or even smelling salts. The latch works great on this and the only thing missing is its original piece of cotton. He is EXTREMELY well made and a really impressive piece too. All his gills are hinged except one in the center bottom and it looks like it was made that way. If you collect perfumes are antique Chinese pieces then this will definitely be one of a kind that no one else has. His eye is real turquoise too and he is marked China on his inner lip. I guaranteed it is OLD.

Rare Victorian Vinaigrette Scent PErfume locket BROOCH

This Victorian piece is something you don’t see often, with the vinaigrette built in as a locket to this brooch ( also doubles a a pendant) . This would have been used to carry smelling salts or perfume oils dabbed on cotton inside this little container. The scent would come out of the holes in the back. The brooch is arched so it would not touch your clothing. This has a Czech glass flower in the center, which you when you hold it to the light you can see the beautiful coloring. The brooch is quite large ( 2 ½") and has a hook for a chain or it can just be used as a brooch. This is some type of gun or pot metal and is has wonderful old patina on top. You can see the bottom looks as if it has never seen the sun or air because it is as close to its original condition as can be. If you collect perfumes or lockets or unusual old brooches then this piece will certainly be a wonderful addition to your collection. This is NOT a reproduction.

DECO 14PC celluloid VANITY SET & rare perfume

What a tremendous art deco 1920’s 14 Piece ( 17 including lids) vintage celluloid vanity / dresser set! And the BEST part it has the PERFUME bottle! What a piece that is!!!! It is long ( 6”) and dimensional with its original metal top ( needs the ball to squeeze). This set was given as a dowry to a young couple from France from the young womans family. It was well cared for and later stored in a big trunk which we purchased at an estate auction in Charleston SC. The work on this set is rich and top quality. It has a gorgeous ever changing light golden marbleized color. The 11" x 7" dresser tray has painstakingly  embroidered lace and a needlework center encased in class on both sides. The glass enclosed oval is filled with the lace and it is in excellent condition . Surrounding the glass is quarter inch border with two etched fans in it. Other wonderful pieces completing this ensemble include a fabulous hand mirror, brush, nail implements, a large hinged lidded box with a fancy shape dimensional top, two crème jars with original glass inserts, a large comb, shoe horn and shoe brush. This is one of the largest sets I have and it is truly amazing. If you want to show off an old vanity or set this up as a display in your store to show off jewelry then I highly recommend it!
