Antique Victorian jeweled LION rose gold filled LOCKET

This roaring lion victorian locket has a simulated diamond colored rhinestone in his mouth and faux sapphires colored stones in his eyes Back in the Victorian period, lions were symbols of courage and strength and was used to impress wrongdoers with the immense power and dignity of the Law. Also associated with royalty,lions are often placed at entranceways as guardians which would make sense since this is the door to the locket. This is rose gold filled and measures a little over 1” long. Inside it has the original paper that reads “The FHS co guaranteed 12 kt gf, absolutely solderless-pat”.

The hinge and clasp work well and it is quite a well made piece. Just needs a little polishing and it is ready to wear. Figural lockets are VERY collectible so don’t miss this at the last minute.

ANTIQUE LION jeweled DECO LOCKET Necklace baby & Pacifier

Talk about an elaborate necklace with this amazing double jeweled locket that hangs from this massive filigree piece with raised lion on the top. There is a real garnet (1/4” wide) in the top piece and some sort of tiny stones in the locket that I am not sure of. THe locket is so elaborate with the rasied relief and dates prior to the 1920’s. The inside photos are ADORABLE of a baby with a pacifier in one side and a little girl in the other. Obviously a mother’s locket, this was worn with the fancy lion top. THe chain has an old slide in filigree clasp that dates prior to the 1900’s which leads me to believe this is from the late 1800’s. The colors are dark with rich patina and really have a wonderful warm feeling. The back of the locket has a tiny dark spot on it. The locket is quite large ( almost 1 1/2” long) and the chain that actually fits around the neck is 17 1/2” long. THe total drop from the chain is an additional 2 7/8” long. Very gentle wear if any and a real Victorian collectible.

Vintage COBALT PORTRAIT LOcket POURED Czech necklace


This is a rarity indeed with the poured Czech glass beads ( no two beads are identical) and this amazing Victorian portrait locket. The cobalt in all the pieces is rich and fit for royalty. The beads are lumpy in shape because each bead is hand done and not cast in a mold where were would be seams. Poured glass is hard to find and when you do it is usually exquisite and rich in color. The beads graduate up to a little over ½" long and between them are floral bead caps. The larger brass filigree beads are gorgeous and they really set off this magnificent cobalt locket. The woman on the front appears to be French and there is black enameling between the ribs of the gilt brass locket. The locket opens on the back and the clasp works well. The necklace is 17" long with an additional 2" for this fancy portrait locket. This is quite a wonderful antique piece and I hope it gets a good home. The beads are in very good condition and the all the gilt brass is rich in patina.

Antique Victorian Cherub LOCKET Necklace Garnet & baby photos

What a huge impressive old locket this is with two of the most adorable children’s photos inside! The locket is a whopping 2 1/4” ( not counting the gorgeous 1” elaborate hanger) and it has a genuine 3/4 CT bohemian garnet in it. The locket has fancy open filigree work with the raised relief cherub on top of that. The back of the locket has ornate etchings as well. The glass garnet color faceted chain measures 25” long and has a rich golden patina. The locket is quite substantial and is well made with good weight to it. The locket has its original photo protector and metal brass frame to hold the photos. I would say these photos are from the late 1800’s. This came out of an estate in NY and we have had it for many many years before offering it for sale this week.

Art deco ENAMEL Amethyst Czech gilt LOCKET necklace

What a FABULOUS old locket this is with its rich black enamel inset into the front. The center stone is a glass faceted czech stone that is quite large. The chain is so ornate with pierced metal spacers and beads and faceted amethyst glass stones. This measures 22” long around the neck with an additional 3” drop for the locket and the bale. The large filigree or pierced metal beads on the chain are quite beautiful and the intricate tubular beads are even nicer. Rich patina brings out the rich purple hue of these stones and beads. Other than wear on the color of the clasp and slight rubbing on the back of the large locket this is in very good condition. I love the fact it is not so short that it rides up high on the neck. Would make a great piece to hold a loved ones photos. I have some earrings that go well with this on PAGE 3 of DECO .

WW11 LARGE SWEETHEART LOCKET & BROoch

When the war was on, mothers and sweethearts carried these lockets close to their heart, with their loved ones photo inside. A tradition that probably is continuing which makes this locket even more special. To think that this carries the love of someone who fought for our country so many years ago, and to have it continue with a new generation makes this carry karma that so very important . This is one of the larger US Navy lockets that I have seen from that WW11 era ( 1 ¾" long from pin to bottom of locket) and it has the geometric striped etched back from the deco period. This is in such great shape too!! I certainly hope that who ever this goes to, that they are able to carry of a loved one that will grow old with them and know how important they were to them.

BIzarre BEE HIVE hidden compartment poison necklace

What an interesting piece this is with the hidden compartment inside this silver hive. The bee on top seems to be guarding whatever is inside. This is really well made with a silver rollo chain that is 28" long. The hive is 1 ½" long and has a very good sturdy clasp and hinge. This looks as if it has never been worn and is a very good quality necklace.

Turquoise locket ? Choker Antique Etruscan pendant


It looks like it is a locket but I can‘t find any hinges. The sides are done with fancy metal beaded work and the center piece has tiny seed pearls and a turquoise center This is made in about four layers The chain ( newer) is 22".
This is prettier than in the photos because there is so much detailing on it I am not sure of the gold content. In my opinion, it does not look like plate. Sold as is. . . .

1800's Victorian wedding memorial ornate LOCKET Necklace

This is an antique ( not a reproduction) locket that has a symbol that you see on memorials for Children when they pass away. (I have had some of the framed paper memorials and this symbol was part of them). This locket is really detailed and it measures 1 1/4" long ( includes bale). Inside it still has its original wedding photos that are hand colored. Notice the crucifix in the background of the bride. Once a momento of a wedding and later a memorial to the couple who passed. The chain is 18" and gold filled I think. The locket is in very good condition and is probably a low karat gold or gold filled. RARE Victorian LOCKET BYPASS wrap BRACELET

What a wonderful KEEPSAKE this would be! The large heart locket is part of the gilt bypass bracelet and it would hold a loved ones photos.This has the original sleeves too. The bracelet will fit most any wrist up to 8". Vintage AMETHYST LOCKET Bookchain necklace

There is nothing prettier than deep amethyst and rich patina on old Victorian pieces of jewelry . This one has a large locket with beautifully engraved work and high relief with layers of rich decorations. The locket is quite large ( 2" x 1 ½") and is really thick ( ¾"). IT has both photo covers inside as well as the frames. The bookchain is exquisite with rich raised relief and as you look at it from the sides you can see how these really resemble a book. I think this was cleaned years ago because there is residue inside the links from a cleaner. The clasp is solid gold. The length of the chain is 17" long. The back of the locket has spots were it shows wear. The amethyst is a beautiful purple and in very good condition. This is a lovely piece from the Victorian era that has sustained its life for all these years . These were made to hold the photos and or hair of loved ones and just the thought of how it was intended and how it must have been used can only bring s sense of good Karma and love. I hope it gets a good ome.

RARE enamel Military Hat locket BRooch & ORIGINAL CARD

With crossed rifles on the back of this to support the photo, this WW11 enamel military helmet lifts up to to reveal an old photo fo Humphrey Bogart?. I believe this was the original photo that came with it when it was first sold. I know that CORO made a number of military lockets and brooches to help support the soldiers at war. I don’t know of any other manufacturers that made these so I would attribute it to them. This one measures 1 1/2” long and is made so that the hinge is on the top. When you lift it up you see the photo. I find it really interesting to see the rifles that form the frame on the back of the locket. This has a C clasp pin back to attach it to a dress or shirt. The card is original as is the locket. The locket has never been worn ( and I don’t think it was ever off the card before I took this photo. The carboard background has MILITARY HAT LOCKET and “wear his picture tip hat back”.

IN very good original condition, this is a real TREASURE!!!
