Vintage Edwardian GARNET Peking Glass necklace & Bracelet

The quality of this lovely set is amazing and the genuine garnets in it with the peking glass really brings out the rich hue of the golden patina. This is a heavy and well made demi parure and looks as if it has been well loved and cared for. The necklace has a wonderful mesh chain with raised metal work near the end. The length around the neck will go up to 17” and the ornate large center piece is 3” wide. The hangers that hold it have glass red garnet color cabochons on them that go with the genuine garnets in the center. Offset with pearls the large center peking glass cabachon is fabulous! The bracelet is made in three pieces and it has the genuine garnets, the jade, peking glass and pearls. It is 7” long and 1 1/3” wide. If you are familiar with the golden color that antique ormolu presents, then notice that this has the same rich hue. You won’t see this reproduced in the newer age. Vintage 52” czech BIG amber glass 92 BEAD Flapper necklace

Originally 1880 to 1930 ( Victorian to Art Deco ) this wonderful stone called Jelly Opal art glass, often erroneously called Saphiret,( also referred to as Dragon's Breath or Mexican Fire Opal), was used by the turn of last century Victorian, later Mexican & Native American jewelry makers such as Maisels.There is the brilliant fire of blues,pinks,purples, reds and oranges. Vintage CZECH deco Rhinestone Florette bracelet

The Czechs had a way with making stones look so close to the real thing that many royals would have them duplicate their jewels so they could wear them without worry of them being stolen. This prong set green set has some of the deepest green stones I have seen in old pieces and each florette is set in a double setting with grometts to reinforce them. Fabulous ART DECO Marcasite jeweled necklace

It is so hard not to love old art deco jewelry because it has so much character and beautiful detail. This necklace has marcasites that go all the way up the neck ( I think they are all original) and a tiered hinged pendant drop set in a rhodium plate. The clasp is a hidden clasp with a fish hook that slides in side. The length around the neck is 15" with an additional 1 1/2" drop. The marcasites vary in degrees from dark to brilliant ( the light has a lot to do with that). This is in good vintage condition with what I think are all its original stones. As you can see on the model it hands so well and is very beautiful on. I think an extender chain could be added to make it longer.

Vintage Sterling Marcasite MOURNING victorian brooch

You don’t see these very often, much less in sterling. This has the memorial flowers on the front in sterling over black onyx to show that the person who wore this was in mourning. The floral basket was a commonly used symbol to help relate to the passing of a loved one. This brooch is large ( over 2” long and 1 1/3” wide) and in GREAT condition. ROMANTIC VINTAGE Coral Yemenite Sterling Coral Necklace

This is a wonderful example of the beauty and intricacy of the workmanship of the indigenous Yemeni Jewish silversmiths,
otherwise known as the Yemenites . The world famous artisans of
southern Arabia and beyond, whom exclusively mastered the
arena of fine silver crafts for centuries, until the early 1900's
when most of their community immigrated to Palestine , marking
the end of this unique art . This facinating vintage set with a
necklace, TWO bracelets and earrings set was made by the
indigenous people of Yemen. The necklace is 36" long with a 3 1/4"
wide x 4" center element and weighs 9.8 ounces. It's lavishly
configured with multiple strand of precious antique genuine red coral
of natural substance and color , incorporating scarce and intricate
mulberry and plain silver beads . More coral beads are set on the
pendant with an adorable red glass gem . The coordinating hinged bracelets (67 grams each) are 1" wide with an interior 6 1/4" measurement, and both unscrew at one side with push pin closure . Notice the elaborately decorated applied filigree , overlaid with adorable little geometric elements , and Coral adornments. The pierced earrings are 3" long x 1" wide (without the stainless steel pierced tops). The set is made from sterling silver with genuine red coral bead accents. It is in excellent condition. This is quite a set that will get you a LOT of compliments! A single ornament of these beads is worth a little fortune, but a matching configuration like this is simply priceless !

Vintage UNUSUAL Venetian FOIL GLASS NECKLACE

These hand blown beads have 14kt gold foil in them and they really are quite unusual with their rippled shape. I haven’t seen any like these before. This measures 16” long and as you can see of the photo next to a dime these beads are BIG ( 1 1/4” x 7/8”). Wired beads AWESOME drop! This is a 1930's garnet glass Italian parure that is as lovely if not lovelier than Haskell pieces~! The necklace has 14 strands of different size garnet GLASS beads. The center piece of this is made of a wrapped metal scrolled ornament with wired cut glass beads and pearls combined with red glass drops that dangle. It is an amazing 3" long and 3" wide. TREMENDOUS RED Glass Egyptian Revival Bracelet ITALY



 Talk about a real vintage beauty that looks like it came right off a movies set. !! This sterling signed Etruscan Egyptian revival bracelet has the richest red glass cabs you will find. Mary Gegory NOUVEAU Nymph fairy CAMPHOR rock Crystal Czech Necklace



This is a most amazing antique camphor glass and rock crystal necklace that has some of the most beautiful etched beads I have ever seen.( Be sure to click on the photos to enlarge them, because they truly are works of art). The long bullet shaped ones have camphor glass ends and the insides are rock crystal. The square ones are rock crystal and they are etched on all sides. The pendant is glass ( I don’t see bubbles but I think it is glass and not crystal).
IT has a nouveau reverse carved nymph, fairy like girl with a ribbon in her hands. The pendant is large ( 2" long) and has tiny flea bites on the edges. The black tubular beads are also glass and are hand wired onto each other. The bullet shaped beads are large ( 1" x ½) and have sides like prism and tops of a beautiful nouveau design ( these beads are HIGHLY collectible and worth quite a bit of money on their own). The cube beads are ½" square. The total length of this ( not including the 2" pendant is 28" long ( which is long for this type of necklace). The black beads are hand blown Czech beads. Considering this is well over 80 years old it is in very good condition. Just the pendant with the flea bites seems to be the only wear. And Camphor glass in nouveau pieces is very desirable ( camphor is a term used to describe a rock crystal or colorless quartz. Ever so common in and around 1920’s jewelry making).

HALLMARKED STERLING English Victorian heavy BUCKLE BRacelet

This is a 32 gram solid sterling bracelet that has a hinged front with
a slide in buckle. THe clasp actually is a hinge that moves outward so the front can slide thru the loop. This is almost 1" wide and measures 6 1/2" long on the inside around the wrist. These are signed Czechoslovakia on the ear knobs and are one fo the most exotic snake earrings I have seen from the art deco period. I think this is a transitional piece from deco / nouveau period. VIntage Victorian Turquoise Chatelaine PERFUME BrOOCH

Now you can carry on a tradition from the 1800’s that will really add to your wardrobe as well as your jewelry collection. This is a vintage Victorian chatelaine that would have been worn on a dress ( see top photo) and inside would have been its favorite oil or scent. This is one of the prettiest ones I have seen and it has tiny turquoise stones on the top brooch set in a raised relief platform. Enamel is set into the recesses of it to add to create depth. The chains hold this pretty vessel fob and it has a metal dauber inside. The brooch is 3 ½" long and 2" wide and has very little if any wear. This looks like it has a smaller container inside the fob because you can see thru the sides on the bottom. Maybe it was made to act as a vinaigrette? IT is quite lovely and has the fleur de lis on each side of the top.

Unusual Jeweled Vinaigrette POMANDER hinged watch fob & Chain

This is similar to the jeweled pomanders you see in the Victorian jewelry books and it is totally functional. The filigree container opens like a fabrege egg and inside is the original cotton that holds the scent. These would have been worn around the neck or on a chatelaine and would have carried smelling salts or a scent. This one has rhinestone jewels and chrysoprase cabs all the way around it. The drop also has a gilt chain fringe drop which makes this a total of 2 1/2” long. The longest thick chain is 10”. If you want to put this to modern day use, it would easily hang from a necklace. OLD Memento Masthead angel Harp Necklace enamel & Glass

From what I understand from the history of this, this Brass piece was from a horse that was ridden in a show in England. The owner then had it mounted on this heavy brass necklace so they could have the piece close to their heart. The dearly loved horse has since passed which makes this quite a wonderful memento. Horse brasses were sometimes used to adorn the harness horses, primarily in the UK, many would be for decoration, royalty, shows and different industries such as train or ale. Some older brasses were worn on harness, others were just made primarily to commemorate a certain event. It is hard to date many harness brasses, yet you can get an idea from the patina as well as how well the brass is cast. Stamped brasses are from the early 1900's and only up to the 1930's. Most brasses you come across were cast and often the getts (the holder for the casting) is left partly on the back of the brass. This one is stamped England and at one time was polished to make it into this necklace so you can see a lacquer that is still on it. The center of this is so magnificnet with a ships masthead of a flying angel and a harp with black enamel. The pendant ( or ornament is 3 1/4" long across and the thick triple chain is an additional 23". The center stone on the pendant is dimpled carnival glass. Quite an interesting piece an really lovely when worn. I think the brass could be polished so all of it is non-laquered which would really makes this look pretty too.

WW11 LARGE SWEETHEART LOCKET & BROoch

When the war was on, mothers and sweethearts carried these lockets close to their heart, with their loved ones photo inside. A tradition that probably is continuing which makes this locket even more special. To think that this carries the love of someone who fought for our country so many years ago, and to have it continue with a new generation makes this carry karma that so very important . This is one of the larger US Navy lockets that I have seen from that WW11 era ( 1 ¾" long from pin to bottom of locket) and it has the geometric striped etched back from the deco period. Antique DECO Chinese Enamel Sterling Figural Ball drop Earrings WOW!!

These marble size fully enameled cobalt and periwinkle blue drops are one of the finer ornamental drops I have ever seen. There are two chinese letters on each side set into the periwinkle enamel and two cut work ones in deep cobalt. Each metla filigree ball is over 1/2” and they hang from deco silver chain. The french wire earrings have a tiny ornamental silver beads. These measure 2 3/4” long from the top of the wire to the bottom of these intricate balls. They date from 1920 and back.

Look Out CLEO the serpents are out tonight and guarding this precious cabochon ( jade colored molded glass) full of magic! This is a vintage piece that has a setting that is 1 1/3" long. The inside cabachon is a bumpy glass ( called molded glass) that seems to have a glow from inside. The gilt snake wraps itself across it and is soldered on each side and used to hold the magical stone inside. The ring is adjustable and will go up to an 8. Vintage AMETHYST LOCKET Bookchain necklace

There is nothing prettier than deep amethyst and rich patina on old Victorian pieces of jewelry . This one has a large locket with beautifully engraved work and high relief with layers of rich decorations. The locket is quite large ( 2" x 1 ½") and is really thick ( ¾"). IT has both photo covers inside as well as the frames. The bookchain is exquisite with rich raised relief and as you look at it from the sides you can see how these really resemble a book. I think this was cleaned years ago because there is residue inside the links from a cleaner. The clasp is solid gold. The length of the chain is 17" long. The back of the locket has spots were it shows wear. The amethyst is a beautiful purple and in very good condition. This is a lovely piece from the Victorian era that has sustained its life for all these years . These were made to hold the photos and or hair of loved ones and just the thought of how it was intended and how it must have been used can only bring s sense of good Karma and love. DECO vintage peking glass Egyptian necklace

Carved Peking czech glass with mottled czech beads are only the start of this amazing old necklace.(I have a matching brooch listed this week as well). The brass that is on it is loaded with details and design and between the pierced spacers and the repousse settings,it is one of the best Egyptian revival necklaces of its time. This one has glass beads that go all the way up to the fish hook czech clasp and the center pieces are tiered to form this floral ornament. The center piece on this is carved with a lovely Asian influence. MOVE over Cleopatra there is a nemesis for your throne!
The length around the neck is 18" and the center piece measures 5" x 1 1/2' when laid out. Rich patina brings our the beautiful hue of this peking glass and other than wear to the gold on the back of the center piece, it is in very good condition. This is heavy and well made and should be in a museum, it is so gorgeous!
