HUGE MAgnificent RUNWAY Couture Peacock RIvoli NECKLACE

One of a kind, designer pieces like this are something you come across on rare occasions and this one is the finest of them I have ever had. It has this HUGE 4” layered garnet color red glass drop with HUGE ( almost 1” )rivoli prism stones that radiate some of the most beautiful fiery colors. From what I was told, it was made by a NY designer for a runway show and it was later auctioned off in a charity event That person passed it on to a dealer who I got it from . This one is hard to give up because it is so GORGEOUS and so Unique. Made to look like a peacock feather this is even prettier than the photos. The combination of the deep deep dark red marquise stones and the hint of magenta in the second layer really set off these tremendous prism glass stones. Austro Hungarian 360 jewel HUGE link Revival bracelet

What a rare treat this is to have a hand wrought Austro hungarian hand set semi precious bracelet like this! IT is almost 2 1/2” wide ( one of the widest bracelets I have ever seen) and LOADED with genuine turquoise, lapis, carnelian and a pink stone I can’t identify. This antique bracelet has a gilt ormolu back and the same gilding on the front. The whole bracelet is hinged and has a slide in long pin closure. Very similar to Thief of Korda piece from the movie Thief of Baghdad where the jewelry was made to be as extravagant as possible. This bracelet is prior to that period by many years which makes me wonder what kind of wonderful history this must have!!! Possibly a person of royalty? Amethyst GLASS double drop exquisite cameo necklace & earrings

Victorian and edwardian periods were known for necklaces that were long and layered with glass and cameos.This set is reminiscent of that period when jewelry was exquisite and was passed on from generation to generation. The necklace has two drops with each row of glass amethyst color beads on each strand. The necklace will go up to 17” long ( it has an extender). 1920’s Vintage Grand TOUR sterling hallmarked SCARAB NECKLACE

 From the 1920’s come these carved scarabs in hand wrought bezels and hand wrought mummy links. I have seen newer reproductions of these scarabs and am willing to guarantee these are not those and are original from the 20’s. THe scarabs are set into fancy etruscan sterling bales that are hallmarked on each ( see the photo). They are quite large ( 1 1/3” long) and really thick and well made. The mummy’s between them are also hand wrought and not machine made. The necklace has hand coiled links on the chain which measures 19” long. These are something from the Egyptian revival period that would have been brought back during the Grand Tour period. Very rare and full of history from a period that was full of creatures and animals that were made into jewelry.

RARE Qing Dynasty Kingfisher feather DRAGON BROOCH


Kingfisher feathers have been used to decorate headdresses, hairpins, earrings and other types of personal ornament, as well as larger items such as bed hangings, screens and lanterns and even to decorate costumes in Chinese opera. This has been done since since the T'ang Dynasty (AD 618- 907). These brilliant blue feathers came from water kingfishers (Alcedinidae) and wood kingfishers (Halcyonidae), which were common in China until demand for their feathers nearly caused their extinction. In China, the finest pieces are the province of museums, as they should be. Kingfisher feather was cut to shape and inlayed into a silver or gold filigree base. Filigree was also combined with granulation to form hairpins in the shape of butterflies and flowers, which were often augmented with jade or pearls. These ornaments continued to be fashionable in China through the Victorian era. As you can see this dragon is a rarity indeed being he is a figural and he has the colors to the feathers. This is 2 ½" long and he has a three dimensional head that is made in layers. I couldn’t get a close-up for you to see each feather, but when you see this up close in person you will be able to tell. He is very very old (1644-1911 A.D) and he is very very rare.

OLD English BUTTERFLY wing Greek GODDESS sterling brooch

The Morpho butterfly, captured in South American rain forests, imparts the lovely sheen found in these collector's items.These are generally produced by a technique called reverse painting. That is, the tint is painted directly on the back of the glass and then placed atop the butterfly wing background. THis is an early English sterling one that actually has a victorian figure of a Greek Goddess holding a flower that has been painted white. Under her are the hints of colors from the butterfly wing. She has some wear to her white coloring but considering she is almost 100 years old I think that is to be expected. This is 1 1/2" tall.

1920's GLASS Egyptian CLEOPATRA large BRACELET

Right from the 20’s comes this 1 ¼" wide glass cab brooch that is all original and is not a reproduction . The cabs are wonderful with raised relief Egyptian hieroglyphics, gods and pharaohs. The green color was one of the original color stones used in these pieces to celebrate the Egyptian revival period. This is made of thick metal that is woven so it hangs well on your wrist. The chain is so ornate with pierced metal spacers and beads and faceted amethyst glass stones. This measures 22” long around the neck with an additional 3” drop for the locket and the bale. The large filigree or pierced metal beads on the chain are quite beautiful and the intricate tubular beads are even nicer. Rich patina brings out the rich purple hue of these stones and beads. Austro Hungarian pieces are a continuation of Renaissance design and sometimes called "Neo-Renaissance" This one has enamel and rhinestones and an amazingly huge open back amber faceted center stones. large pendant to the bottom of the tassel is 8 ½" and the necklace is 28" long around the neck ( not counting the drop).
